Oracle vs Microsoft - Tsunami over the Software Industry

With Sun acquisition, Oracle just managed to keep out of trouble when the reality check will hit the Software Industry and show the obsolescence of many of its concepst.

While the World is mutating to Web 2.0, making sure anybody have any info available at any time of the day, Microsoft still has the poor limited old school tasks: trying to make a desktop or a suite of tools better than the Open Source equivalent.

Oracle has pursued a steady motion in aquiring hardware giants as well as industrial top tools. Sun is a big name, but we often forget about JD Edwards, Demantra and Numetri, which are huge key players in today's industrial companies.

Today Oracle can count on a complete suite of best of breeds tools that can be integrated into a Supply Chain organisation. The dividends are very good since the B2B model is the most cash generating scheme.

I do believe that of the two top competitors (Oracle ORCL and Microsoft MSFT), Oracle will win easily the sustainability match.

I picked both in my portfolio, but I will get rid of MSFT as soon as my 20% objectives are reached
